Get to Know the 2023 Designers of the Month

Each month, Sherwin-Williams Design Pros features the work of a standout designer who inspires us to keep doing what we love: bringing beauty into the world through design.

Read on to learn more about several of the design visionaries we featured on our social media channels this year, their passions, predictions for 2024, and secrets to success.

Amber Guyton, Blessed Little Bungalow

February 2023 Designer of the Month, Blessed Little Bungalow

“I love creating spaces that evoke emotion, inspire, and create a feeling of pride, safety, and joy for others. It’s an honor to serve others with my creativity and gifts in this way, whether they are clients that work with Blessed Little Bungalow, or followers of my content.

As 2024 approaches, I’m excited about leaning more into color and pattern mixing than ever before, with help from Rachel Moeller, my account executive, who is willing to provide advice, resources, and all the tools I need to increase my confidence in the color and paint selections I make. My residential and commercial clients are trusting my out-of-the-box ideas, and I’m looking forward to showcasing that more in their homes, as well as product collaborations I have coming.”

Kat Nelson, Kat Nelson Designs

March 2023 Designer of the Month, Kat Nelson Designs

“I love working with individual clients with individual needs and tastes. We do not push a particular style or trend. We collaborate with our homeowners to advise them how to infuse their style with one that will have some longevity but still be unique to them. My favorite part of the process is when the clients share how much they love their home and living in it. I often hear, “we don’t want to leave!” That’s the best compliment ever!

Traveling and trade shows, like High Point Furniture Market, always feed my creative soul. I get so much inspiration from both through textiles, colors, and new product ideas.”

Stacy Moore, Stacy Moore Designs

April 2023 Designer of the Month, Stacy Moore Designs

“I love creating beautiful homes that reflect my clients and for their family and friends to enjoy. Working with my clients and getting to know them throughout the project is one of my favorite parts of my work, as well as working with my Account Executive, Makayla Condie.

I enjoy networking with our local IDS chapter and I am currently working on a Suite Dreams Project in Shelby Township. We will be transforming the living room space with the goal of creating a restful environment for healing and recovery for a little boy. We have many projects still this year and into the new year that will keep our creative juices flowing!”

Zehra Arif, Z Dimensional

May 2023 Designer of the Month, Z Dimensional

“I have always been fascinated by the power of design to transform spaces and evoke emotions. I genuinely enjoy space planning and find immense satisfaction in solving design challenges while keeping the intended purpose in mind.

Commercial interior design is a fast-paced field, and it often requires quick turnaround on samples and materials. Amanda Lowery is a responsive, solution-oriented Account Executive who is key to streamlined projects, mitigating any timeline-related challenges that I may face.

Next year, I am thrilled to continue expanding my expertise in healthcare interior design. This is a field that I have been passionately involved in, and I am excited to create innovative spaces that promote well-being and productivity. I also cannot wait to experiment with different concepts in restaurant design, creating unique environments that not only captivate the senses but also evoke a delightful dining experience.”

Stephanie Abernathy & Ashley Malone, Studio Wellington

June 2023 Designers of the Month, Studio Wellington

“The ability to tell a client’s story and share bits of history through the canvas of a room are some of our favorite parts of what we do and what drives us as designers.

In the coming year, we have some amazing lake properties and out-of-town projects that we are working on, as well as some fun historic revival things. As always, our Account Executive will be there to answer questions and make the design process easy.”

Calvin Watt, The C’VION Company

July 2023 Designer of the Month, The C’VION Company

“What draws me into the world of design is the scale of beauty that one can create. We are not just creating a small bracelet that you can wear; we are creating an entire home or building for you to live life in. That’s a major contribution to the world for us.

Our account executive, Rachel, is so amazing. She keeps us up to date with color trends around the world, not to mention keeping us updated on the new products and enhancement Sherwin-Williams makes to all the paint products we use. In what could be a dull world of paint, she brings education, resources, knowledge, and most of all, the joy of paint.”

Stephanie Uprichard, Studio Forma Interior Design

August 2023 Designer of the Month, Studio Forma Interior Design

“We’re commercial designers and fortunate to work on a wide variety of projects. We’re particularly thrilled about a cool new restaurant and a fun daycare center scheduled for the upcoming year!

I love seeing smiles on people’s faces when they enter our designed spaces. It’s a constant motivation to improve with each project. My favorite part is infusing the company’s brand into the space and experimenting with bold colors that clients might not typically choose.”

Perry Walter, Walter Studio Interior Design

September 2023 Designer of the Month, Walter Studio Interior Design

“Interior design comes very naturally to me. I remember as a kid always trying to rearrange my parents’ and grandparents’ homes. I think my favorite part of what I do is seeing my clients’ reactions once project installations begin. When a client trusts you, that is the ultimate compliment in what we do.

My Account Executive does an outstanding job bringing the latest and most informative knowledge to the design community.”

Blair & Bromley Moore, Moore House Design

October 2023 Designers of the Month, Moore House Design

“Design is imagination milled with craftsmanship. I have always loved design, a sensory overload of visual arts, but what is the perfect synergy for myself and my team here at Moore House Design is a balance between design and craftsmanship.

We love working with other creatives in the industry and have been incredibly fortunate to have clients nationwide who love and trust the creative process and are excellent stewards of our work.

One of the main reasons we work with Sherwin-Williams is for the incredible customer service. This unmeasurable help has created lasting trust and a great working relationship. Our account executive, Tiara Castro, has not only gone above and beyond, but she’s dear to our hearts and our trusted friend. She pulls out all the stops whenever possible, and our designs wouldn’t have come to life without her!”

Kristin Wadsworth, Kristin Wadsworth Design

November 2023 Designer of the Month, Kristin Wadsworth Design

“Design is place-making, transforming a space into a destination that people want to spend time in and come back to. I love hosting and bringing people together, and I believe good design sets the stage for beautiful memories. We’ve got one life to live, so why not spend it in an environment that fosters happiness?

Rachel, my Account Executive, is great at bringing the Atlanta design community together and building our networks. She is helpful with bouncing off ideas, color and sheen selections, and streamlining my color-selection process. Rachel is just fabulous!”

Joy Williams, Joyful Designs Studio

December 2023 Designer of the Month, Joyful Designs Studio

“My favorite part of what I do is twofold: problem solving and custom product design. The beauty of what we get to create with our clients is a beautiful byproduct. And I truly appreciate and enjoy partnering with Annie Conway, our Account Executive, on special projects and know that I can always depend on her to help our firm understand the full panoply of Sherwin-Williams products.

In the coming year I plan to release a few products for new designers, who often seek us out for mentoring and business advice. I’d like to be able to offer resources for folks like myself who come to design as a second or third career and find immense joy in it, but need some practical advice on navigating the ins and outs of a for-profit design business.”
