Reconnecting with Our Designers of the Month for 2024

In keeping with tradition, we rounded up our Designers of the Month from the past year and asked them to tell us a little more about themselves, their passions, and the things they’re most looking forward to in 2025. Keep reading to get to know our featured designers a bit better and find out their quintessential color picks for the year.

Saree Parry | Decorating Den Interiors

While living in Toronto, Saree Parry says she discovered the King Street East design district and fell in love. “That’s when I knew I’d someday be designing beautiful interiors for people. I love the energy of creative expression and being able to share that with my clients. It’s so rewarding to understand their vision and create spaces that truly reflect who they are. My favorite part is connecting with clients—many tell me I just get them—and combining functionality with beauty to make a real difference in their lives.”

As she looks to the year ahead, she says she’s excited by the opportunities present in condominium design and the chance to make these multi-family environments beautifully harmonize with her clients’ unique styles and tastes.

Lindsey Putzier has been following her passion for design from as far back as her earliest memories will go. That passion translated into an amazing career, one in which she gets to experience the joys of creating beautiful spaces for her clients and introducing them to colors and patterns outside of their regular comfort zone.

We asked Lindsey what she’s most excited about in the near future, and she says, with her team expanding soon, she looks forward to a ton of creative collaboration in the upcoming year.

Jasmine Crockett | Joy Meets Home

Jasmine Crockett’s contractor father and talented decorator mother inspired her to transform spaces as she pleased. “I was surrounded by creativity, and that experience shaped my love for transforming spaces,” she says. “My favorite part of what I do now is seeing how design can completely change how people feel in their homes.”

In 2025, she plans to touch even more lives with the magic of design as she launches a new service for her clients. “It’s going to be a year of building on the strong foundation I’ve set and pushing forward into exciting new territory,” Jasmine tells us.

Liz Hoekzema | KLH Homes

The hands-on experience of designing her first home was the defining moment that kicked off Liz Hoekzema’s design career.  “I knew what I wanted to achieve, and I loved exploring the details,” our July Designer of the Month says. “The details are still what drive me today, and it’s endlessly more fun to play with details and materials with a team of talented creatives and clients who each have their own style and goals for the space.”

Liz is looking to the coming year with enthusiasm, optimism, and a full docket: the designer tells us she has a vacation home for repeat clients, a color-punctuated midcentury-style home, and a sleek flat-roofed pied-à-terre for city-dwelling clients all in the works, among others.

Sallie Lord | GreyHunt Interiors

Sallie Lord comes from a long line of design-driven professionals. “Interior design, I feel, is in my blood. My favorite part is changing how people live and feel in their homes. You can physically see the calm and happiness on their faces. Design is powerful!”

The founder of GreyHunt Interiors says she feels that 2025 is going to be a great year, with participation in the Indianapolis Decorator Showhouse and some other projects expanding her design wheelhouse.

Joni Spear | Joni Spear Interior Design

Joni Spear, who was a recent guest on our podcast, Colormixology, tells us she’s always had a creative streak: “As a child I would make my own furniture and tear pages from a JCPenney catalog for backdrops on my doll houses. That enthusiasm for beautiful interiors never waned and led me to college where I earned a degree in interior architecture.”

What’s in store for Joni in 2025? “I have been working on several exciting bespoke projects both large and small in Greater St. Louis, as well as many in other parts of the country.”

Seth Van Den Bergh | The Drawing Room

Atlanta-based designer Seth Van Den Bergh, another Colormixology guest, inherited his creative drive from his parents, who moved—and remodeled—often. “Each new house, and especially each new bedroom, gave me a chance to make the space my own. It was both a challenge and an opportunity to reinvent not just my surroundings but also myself.”

Seth says he can’t wait to keep pushing boundaries in the year ahead. “We’re expanding our portfolio, growing into new markets, and continuing to build on the vision I realized through my own firm—spaces that are theatrical, experiential, and unapologetically personal.”

Megan Conceicao | Leo Rose Interior Design

“My realization that spaces have the power to evoke strong emotions is what initially drew me to the field of design,” says Megan Conceicao, founder of Leo Rose Interior Design and our December Designer of the Month. “I’m fascinated by the profound impact the built environment can have on our wellbeing and experiences.”

She says that 2025 is set to be an exciting year for Leo Rose Interior Design, as she is currently immersed in a full renovation of a beautiful Victorian home.
