How to Makeover an End Table
Don't let the dull brown of a wooden end table at a garage sale turn you away. Painting it a color that matches your style can make the old look new again. Give this idea a try with an end table makeover project.

Clean
Before you paint your new-to-you end table, use a dry rag or dust spray to clean the surface.
Apply First Coat
Dip your foam brush in a stirred can of paint. Apply the first coat of paint to the end table and wait four hours for it to dry.
Tip: Use a primer for best color coverage when you’re painting over a dark surface. Ask your local Sherwin-Williams store for other priming tips.
Tip: For small projects around the house, a foam brush is the perfect painting tool. Don't completely dip the foam in the paint to make cleaning it easier.
Apply Second Coat
Apply a second coat of paint and allow it to dry fully before touching.
Tip: Always clean your brushes for future use. Learn how to properly store and dispose of paint here.
