EPDAP

Environmental Product Declaration Action Plan is a product-specific action plan to reduce life cycle impacts, which includes a description of the Life Cycle Assessment, identification of the largest impact areas and those targeted for reduction, the steps to be taken and a timeline for completion. This document contributes toward satisfying LEED v4.1 MR Credit: Environmental Product Declarations, Option 2, Embodied Carbon/LCA Optimization Action Plan.

PLA

Product Lens™ Assessment is an ingredient disclosure tool that provides hazard information in context using exposure indicators along four phases within the life cycle of the product. The tool is a collaboration between UL Environment, MBDC and Cradle to Cradle Product Innovation Institute. to meet and exceed the chemical disclosure requirements outlined by the design community and LEED®.

MI

Manufacturer Inventory is a publicly available inventory of all ingredients identified by name and Chemical Abstract Service Registration Number, European Community Number, or Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labeling of Chemicals. Manufactures Inventories can be third-party validated. This disclosure contributes toward satisfying LEED v4.1 MR Credit: Material Ingredient Reporting – Manufactures Inventory.

CHMAP

Chemical Action Plans is a product-specific plan that includes a description of the screening or the assessment platform used to complete the screening and analysis as well as a written narrative describing the immediate and long-term actions that will be pursued to reduce hazards. This document can be third-party validated and contributes toward satisfying LEED v4.1 MR Credit: Material Ingredient, Option 2, Material Ingredient Optimization.

IABM

Integrated Analysis of Building Materials is a documented qualitative analysis of the potential health, safety and environmental impacts of the product in five states of the product’s life cycle. This document must be third-party validated and contributes toward satisfying LEED v4.1 Pilot Credit: Integrated Analysis of Building Materials.

EDS

Environmental Data Sheet lists emissions and regulatory reporting information such as VOC.

SDS

Safety Data Sheet list hazards and exposure information.
