Clean the surface of walls, trim, and door with a bucket of soapy water and a sponge to remove dirt and oils before painting.

Use a sanding sponge to sand the surface of the door then wipe excess dust with a damp cloth.

Next, use painter’s tape to section off the wall area.

Use a 2” brush to apply Emerald^® Interior Acrylic Latex Paint in Flat — we used the shade Distance SW 6243 — to the edges of the walls.

With a roller, paint the remainder of the areas using the “W” technique, then let dry.

Next, use painter’s tape to section off the doors from the trim.

Use your 2” brush to apply the same shade of Emerald^® Interior Acrylic Latex Paint in Semi-Gloss to the edges of the door.

With a mini roller, paint the remainder of the areas.

Once paint is dry, tape off the freshly painted section in preparation for applying the next sheen.

Use your 2” brush to apply the same shade of Emerald^® Interior Acrylic Latex Paint in Satin to the trim.
