In this edition of Pro on the Go we'll dive into the first of our series on advanced techniques for marketing your painting business, specifically your company website.

Alpine Painting and Sandblasting Contractors of Paterson, New Jersey, is an industry leader in this field.

We spoke with Dave Scaturro to learn what they're doing to generate more leads with a company website.

I've always been excited about the idea of marketing, so what we've done, where we've really invested a lot of our energy is into our website because we recognize that now people are not necessarily looking in the yellow pages anymore to find a contractor.

They're going on, on to Google and they're putting in a keyword or a series of keywords in order to find a local painting contractor in their area or somebody that can handle a unique job.

Typically painting company websites include a few samples of the firm's residential and commercial projects.

But don't stop there.

By getting even more specific in showcasing all the different types of work that you do, you make it easier for search engines to find your company.

Dave provides one example:

We target very specific customers based on a market or on a service, so when someone puts in I'm looking for a interior, church sanctuary painting contractor in Bergen County, New Jersey, there's a very good chance they're going to land on my market page for churches and it has pictures of other churches that I've done.

I have a portfolio, I have information about the intricacies of painting a church and they're going to feel confident they found a good quality contractor.
